AMPERNA® was founded by Kiri Yanchenko after years of navigating her own skin sensitivities. Like many people with reactive skin, Kiri experienced first-hand how overwhelming skincare could be. Instead of accepting that sensitivity was something she just had to “manage,” Kiri began researching how the skin barrier works and how it can be supported gently and consistently. This curiosity led her to the emerging science of postbiotics, a skin-friendly ingredient that helps support balance and resilience.
“AMPERNA® was born not out of trend, but out of my lived experience.” Says Kiri. “From day one, my mission has been clear: to create products that feel good on the skin and help others feel more comfortable, confident and supported in their own skin.”

AMPERNA® proudly became the first skincare brand in Australia to bring Lactococcus Ferment Lysate to market. A postbiotic ingredient chosen for its skin-supportive properties.
At the time, postbiotics were largely unknown in mainstream skincare. Today, they are recognised as an important part of maintaining skin balance, particularly for those with easily stressed skin.
