Three New Products Your Skin Will Love

Posted by Kiri Yanchenko on

We’ve had so many requests from you for more AMPERNA® products that use gentle and effective retinols as well as a physical SPF product. We listened and we’re excited to announce that the three new Pro+ Bio skincare products you really want are now available on our website.

AMPERNA® Launches Three New Products

The new products have been in the making for over 12 months, with rigorous development and testing to ensure they are suitable for even the most sensitive and problem skin.

Introducing our two gentle & effective retinols: SUPERFOLIATE & SUPERADIANCE

Why Retinol?

Retinol is a gentler form of tretinoin (Vitamin A) and is used in skincare to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, dark spots and keep skin looking more vibrant and youthful. It works by gently stimulating cell turn over.

PRO+ BIO RESURFACING RETINOL RX [SUPERFOLIATE]

This gentle leave on Granactive Retinoid serum contains azelaic acid salt, niacinamide, liquorice root extract and zinc and copper gluconates to help calm redness and improve the skin’s appearance. Granactive Retinoid helps renew skin plumpness, elasticity and hydration to help provide a radiant and fresh appearance. It is also known to help stimulate skin cell proliferation; which in turn, helps to restore thickness to skin that has become thinner with age.

PRO+ BIO RESURFACING RETINOL ALT [SUPERADIANCE]

This gentle leave on bakuchiol serum is a pregnancy safe version of our Pro+ Bio Resurfacing Retinol RX serum. It contains azelaic acid salt, niacinamide, liquorice root extract and zinc and copper gluconates to help calm redness and improve the skin’s appearance. Bakuchiol is Pregnancy Safe versus the Granactive retinol. Bakuchiol helps improve skin brightness, helps achieve an even skin tone and helps to increase skin plumpness, It also helps to minimise enlarged pores, helps boost firmness and helps smooth out fine lines. It is less known to cause irritation versus other retinols.

It is extremely important to follow the directions carefully and protect your skin from the sun when using a retinol. Read How to be Sun Smart When Using Active Skincare Products.

Introducing our physical SPF: HYDRAPROTECT

Why a Physical SPF?

One of the best ways to look after your skin is to apply sunscreen every day. It helps prevent sun damage and disease. Finding a sunscreen that you love and that doesn’t feel greasy or trigger break outs can be challenging. Physical sunscreens are often referred to as natural or mineral sunscreens. They tend to be better suited to sensitive or problem skin such as acne prone skin and perioral dermatitis prone skin. They are not absorbed by the skin, rather they sit on the surface and work by blocking or deflecting ultraviolet rays. Which is why finding one that feels good on your skin may have eluded you… until now.

PRO+ BIO SOOTHING DAY MINERAL CC SPF15 [HYDRAPROTECT]

AMPERNA® Launches Three New Products

This lightweight, non-greasy physical SPF moisturising lotion is an adaptive formula and is suitable for all skin tones. Pro+ Bio Soothing Day Mineral CC SPF15 is not a tinted formulation. The slight tinted appearance of the formula is a result of the zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and mineral ingredients. HYDRAPROTECT contains zinc oxide making it a physical SPF.

In the future we are also looking to expand our SPF range by making a SPF30+ or SPF50+ formulation available.  This level of SPF requires TGA approval, so before we do this, we’d love to hear from you. What do you think about the current formulation and what factor would you love it formulated to?

3 Super-powered Ingredients in Our New Range

Our three new products are packed with super-powered ingredients. Each product still contains AMPERNA® hero probiotic Lactococcus Ferment Lysate along with Bio Fermented Oligopeptide complex. AMPERNA® has taken our range one step further with Yeast Ferment Extract and Soy Amino Acids. They help to stimulate skin renewal; they actively help refine and restore skin texture and radiance safely.

  • Lactococcus Ferment Lysate is the hero probiotic ingredient in AMPERNA® products. It is gaining popularity around the world but is still a relatively new probiotic ingredient in the Australian market. It is obtained from the bacteria, Lactococcus lactis. It helps strengthen the skin microbiome, aids in repair and helps sensitive skin become less reactive to environmental aggressors.
  • Yeast Ferment Extract helps to actively refine and restore the skin texture, helping to stimulate skin renewal. It helps with skin-brightening and helps wrinkle reduction.
  • Soy Amino Acids are Isoflavones and when used in skincare they help increase the ability of the skin to hold moisture and therefore help to deliver a smoothing effect.
